Private Childbirth Preparation Classes
Private classes are provided for those expectant parents who have busy work schedules or that are not able to make a series of weekly classes. The private classes are given in your home and are intensive 2 day class. Class days are at your convenience and are usually given your last trimester of pregnancy. Topics covered:

1. Anatomy & Physiology of pregnancy

2. Signs leading to labor and precautions

3. Stages of labor

4. Relaxation techniques

5. Writing a birth plan & Informed consent

6. When to go to the hospital

7. Comfort measures for labor & birth

8. Medications & interventions

9. C-sections

10. Newborn care & Instruction

11. Your relationship after baby

The partners are encouraged to wear “The Empathy Belly” which simulates 12 symptoms of late pregnancy.

You will be left feeling more empowered and with a sense of what to expect for your birth.

The fee for this class is $200 per couple. The option of location is your choice this is nice for the moms-to-be who are on bed-rest. There is an additional $25 (for each day of travel) for those couples who are out of the Napa area.
